Our 787 fron Denver tomorrow has had the F cabin opened for CW passengers.
We have two of the CW window seats with direct aisle access – ie no climbing over the aisle seats – booked.
But the middle pair in row 1 First is now available. Aware the F cabin could still close, so not yet giving up our CW seats.
But am I mad thinking we should just keep them even if the F seats are still there at check-in? Think they will be more private than F?
We had this a couple of years ago. We don’t pay for CW seats and it actually paid off as what BA were doing was allocating CW passengers who hadn’t selected seats the F cabin as the CW cabin was oversold. So I think it will depend on how many CW seats they have sold. Too complicated to go into but there WERE still free seats in F at check in, so it might also be a matter of luck!
I’m assuming this is a flight which doesn’t actually offer F service as you don’t seem to be talking about an upgrade?
