Hi All,
I’ve booked a Qatar redemption using Avios from my BA account, but the resulting booking has my Qatar Privilege Club details on it for me and none for my wife (and no obvious place to enter them during the booking process).
I’d like put both of our BA Exec club membership details on the booking as we have Silver status, but can’t see how. Any ideas if it is possible without phoning them?
The usual work-arounds that I’ve used in the past don’t seem to work here. Finnair gives an error when trying to change the FF numbers; BA and Royal Jordanian don’t even seem to be able to see the booking.
If she logs in, can she add the booking reference to her account and do it that way?
To her Privilege Club account? Not sure, but I don’t think that would solve the problem anyway since we don’t want the Privilege Club details on the booking.
If BA recognised the booking reference we might be able to deal with hers that way as BA normally lets you add your Exec Club number to a booking that doesn’t already have FF details (at least for a BA booking it does). However at the moment at least it doesn’t.
I may leave it a day or two in case it needs a while to catch up.
So there does seem to be a way of adding details for a passenger who doesn’t have a FF number at all. Bizarrely it doesn’t appear on the main website, only via the app or mobile website within the update passenger details option.
However, attempting to replace my Privilege Club number by my Exec Club number was simply ignored.
So I phoned Qatar’s call centre. The first time my call got cut-off, the second time the line was so bad I was almost having to shout down the phone and couldn’t understand what the operator was saying. I thought I got the message across, but so far nothing has changed.
Is there any way to contact them via chat or email?
Having said that, the main Qatar site is still showing my Privilege Club number, but the status level is now Silver rather than Burgundy. All very weird, so I went and had a look at the booking on finnair.com which is showing my correct BA credentials.
So it seems like I may have succeeded, but as with most airlines Qatar’s IT seems a bit broken.
Now all I need is to understand why my Qatar account keeps getting logged out…..
Try using Royal Jordanian or Royal Air Maroc websites as well as finnair. RJ website usually works to do what you wanted to do

Yes, have done that before with BA bookings, but RJ doesn’t seem to be able to see my Qatar booking (unlike the Finnair site). Just tried with the Royal Air Maroc website – it can’t see it either.
I’m having same problem with 2 Qantas flight bookings, I want to put my BA EC no instead of the Qantas FF number (I can’t even remember how the Qantas FF number got there in the first place). I emailed Qantas (no response), spoke to someone in BA EC and they tried something but no change. Might have a go with the Finnair/RJ route!
