Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Adding BAEC after BA Holiday – will that trigger double avios?

  • 1,224 posts

Just completed a BAH and one of the passengers did not have her BAEC on the booking. If she adds it now, will she get the double TPs as per the current offer? (it is a flight + car for more than 5 nights so should trigger it)

The participant must register their British Airways Executive Club number against their booking prior to Travel

So if the holiday has already been taken, looks like she may be out of luck, although with flaky BA IT, you never know

Note the offer is for double TPs not Avios

She can sign up now for an account and retro claim but IMHO she’ll only get the normal TPs and avios and not any bonuses.

I also think that registering for BAEC after the holiday the best she can expect is to receive credit of the normal base TPs for the flights.

It might have worked if she had registered before the TPs would have posted for the outbound flight but that would have required her to register while on holiday.

Just to be clear. She has a BAEC account but it had not been added to the holiday.

I will test and come back with the results 🙂
