I want to pick some of your brains if that’s ok.
The above return journey for 31,250 Avios plus £1. Worth it?
Have you got any status?
It’s BA’s shortest European route and thus service is one pass of the meal and drinks trolley. In fact, if in row 4 or further back, you may well be descending by the time your drink arrives.
What I’m therefore getting at is if you have status benefits already, CE merely becomes about the seat and the food service. And the service isn’t much cop.

Cash only is £254
You’re better paying cash then
There should be an option around 9k avios plus £25 each way (if it’s a return)? That would be much better use of avios than the £1 option, though unless you’re desperate for the extra luggage allowance, it’s not really worth doing a 40-minute trip in CE. Though £254, if that’s a return price, is a very good cash price for that route.
