I have been looking at Aer Lingus for reward flights from Manchester to Orlando.
The dates I require are not available yet (May 2026), but I have been looking for some time to see what availability is like.
I have never seen more than 1 business class seat available for booking with Avios.
Just wondering if anyone has ever managed to use a 2-4-1 on this route or do they never offer more than 1 seat and am I wasting my time.
I am not sure what availability is like Dublin – Orlando as this always shows as ‘Sold Out’. Is there an optimum time to be trying to access these once they are released?
They’re notoriously tight with biz reward seats and no guaranteed availability so probably best to come up with a plan B !
They don’t release a guaranteed number of seats and availability tends to be pretty woeful from MAN whenever I’ve looked, unless you want economy to or from JFK!
People have reported better availability from DUB (which of course is very easy to get to from MAN), but readers have also advised that EI keeps a lot of reward seats for its own status members.
Thanks for your responses.
It seems a bit of a con, saying that it is possible to use 2-4-1 on Aerlingus but they only ever release 1 seat.
We are looking at this for our son & his wife. They wont travel economy any more since we introduced them to the world of miles & points 😂
EI is a bit of an odd one because it’s not a One World airline and the benefits for people with OW status are a bit random. It would make more sense really to be able to use the voucher on AA or QR instead! I can’t recall if the rationale of EI being included in the 241 terms was ever made clear.
Also see today’s HFP article.
If you did find something from DUB and have a couple of days to spare – in December we flew DUB-LHR-MEX on BA in F to save on surcharges and had 2 nights at the very nice CP DUB and took the bus into the city for sightseeing and shopping.

Remember though the BAPP 2-4-1 voucher is alternatively a 50% off voucher for singletons like me. 1 seat would do me quite nicely.
