Since AF/KL begun offering XP for purchases of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), I’ve been keeping an eye on it to see how many were offered per flight and how much would it cost per XP.
Originally it was between £8 and £8.40 per XP bought through SAF. Though for short haul you could buy around 14 to 50 XP depending on the number of flights and the aircraft involved, at the maximum number you could purchase per booking.
However, looking at them yesterday, the number of XP available to purchase has dropped significantly. The most I’ve seen is 20 XP at the maximum and this was previously offering 37 XP a couple of weeks ago. Prices remain similar per XP as mentioned, though it looks like if you are needing to reach status with XP purchases via SAF, it has become a little bit harder.
Probably a good thing for elites as it means it will be harder to get to Gold or Platinum in Flying Blue. Less so if you are attempting to reach the Gold or Platinum levels.
