We will be staying at JW Marriott Resort Suites in Khao Lak but it’s quite a distance from Phuket airport. Hotel is charging silly prices. On Trip Advisor forums people have discussed local providers. If any of you know of some good, reputable and reasonable ones please do share as personal recommendations are very useful here. We are a family of 4 with quite a bit of luggage so not keen on splitting the family in 2 taxis.
Just as a data point and I appreciate not a solution for you but when our family of 4 stayed at Le Meridien Khao Lak in 2023 (20km up the coast from JW) the hotel arranged transport was 2,200 BHT (£50) which for 1.5hrs was so reasonable.
Grab also operate on Phuket and you can pre-book all the normal types of car, including large SUV / VIP etc. A quick look shows all prices are under 2,000BHT and I’ve always had good experience of Grab in SEA.
However you get there enjoy! We had the most amazing time there and are plotting our way back for summer next year. Such a wonderful place.
