For some reason AliExpress thinks my Barclaycard Avios Plus is a USD card and forces me to pay in USD.
My AMEX is and has always been fine billing in GBP on AliExpress.
Probably there is something else Barclaycard have forgotten to set up properly on this card 🙁
Cant work around it using paypal, as of course 3DS doesnt work and cant register the card with Paypal.
May use another card as I guess as the fx charges on this card arent great?
Any other foreign retailers doing anything similar?

My wife buys quite a lot from them and she is billed in GBP – I assume you did it through the BA eStore – up to 11 Avios/£1 usually 8.
No but I’ll do that in future cheers!
Eventually got transaction through paypal rather than direct and it was charged in GBP ok.
