I received an email from ALL yesterday (as, presumably, did everyone else) saying that there is a 20% discount for Voyager. I wouldn’t normally do enough Accor stays to make this worthwhile but we have a trip booked starting at the end of this month to the Singapore GP with a couple of short stays in Thailand tagged on.
We have hotel rooms booked in Singapore at an IBIS Budget hotel (Singapore GP weekend is very expensive!) and a Novotel in Phuket. I can’t re-book these rooms so I was wondering (although doubtful) whether, if I paid for Voyager, I would get the discounts on current bookings retrospectively applied?
If Accor would apply them retrospectively then the discounts would pay for the Voyager membership but, if they don’t, then it wouldn’t be worth me purchasing it.
Thanks
Someone will correct me if I’m wrong but I think there’s very little chance of Accor giving you a retrospective discount. You would need to cancel and re-book, but as you say, you can’t.
But you could get a discount for next year’s grand prix!

Seems to me it’s not retrospective (like all ALL offers seem to be requiring a cancel and rebook)
I think ibis budget properties in Singapore don’t participate in Accor ALL anyway.

Ibis Budget hotels in most parts of the world don’t participate.

That’s true although the Voyager website does include IBIS Budget in the hotels list and it isn’t in the Voyager “Non-participating” hotels list.
All moot anyway I guess
Thanks for all of the replies. Pretty much confirmed what I thought.
@KevinC That’s true, but I feel this is going to be a once only trip. Having done Silverstone a couple of times we thought we’d try something different and, if funds allow, we will probably go somewhere else next time for a different experience – I’m liking the rumours I’m hearing about a Bangkok Grand Prix in the not-too-distant future!

That page isn’t 100% reliable. For example, some ibis budget hotels in Australia and a small number (3?) in the UK are not excluded. A better way to check is to look for the “All points” logo on the search results. It will also clearly say “This property does not participate in the All program” for excluded properties under “Member benefits”
