Amex bill payment gone slightly awry

Good afternoon
Brief summary:
+ Made a payment via debit card yesterday
+ All seemed to go through with no website time-outs or long page loading times
+ Reflected as ‘payment received’ green text on statement, limit restored to where I expected etc
+ Bank account showing the payment as pending
/ Logged in today to check details of an Amex offer
– The line containing the green ‘payment received’ text has been completely removed from the statement
– Now the payment button has been restored, stating “Payment due” by X date, with the full amount that is due
– Credit limit still restored, but balance outstanding reflects the two month’s billing amounts (?)
Bank account is still showing payment pending, so the funds haven’t been re-deposited.
Just a wee bit confused as I haven’t seen this happen before with the crediting/removal from statement –
I’m sure it will sort itself, but has anyone else experienced this?

It often happens when paying at the weekend. It will update shortly and correct itself. Keep an eye on it, but usually nothing to worry about.
