Amex Gold or Platinum alongside BA AmexPP

Apologies if this has been covered but I was unable to find the answer by searching.

My wife has the BA-Amex-PP card and I’m an addition card holder.
I’m now looking at either Amex Gold or Platinum to use along side our BA card.

Am i still eligible for the joining bonus on either card?
What are the pros and cons of gold and platinum along side the BAPP. Does anyone on here run Amex and BAPP together?

*update* i think the platinum card will suit us better. However my Amex joining points which i aim to convert to Avios, will i be able to transfer them to our Household avios account (my wife is the initial account holder).

This will give some pointers.

You don’t need a BAPP card to have an exec club account, but as you say you have a HHA I guess you have your own exec acc number, that’s where you transfer the MR’s to.
