Yes, but it’s £10k or 3 months.
If you referred on the exact day you got the card then you would get pretty much 3 months of 16 MR per £ up to £10k spend.

So I just been told by the amex agent that if I referred someone for platinum business using my amex platinum business referral link, I wont get the same offer of 8 points per £1 spend which they would but I would only get 18K points. I haven’t referred anyone. I thought this offer was running for 22nd Oct for the person referring too?
At the moment it doesn’t show any referral link on my account (guessing because they were accessing it) and my refer a friend link currently broken so waiting for it refresh..
Can confirm now showing me the same offer too if I refer someone I get 8 points per £1 spend. Conclusion: Amex agent DONT KNOW what they are talking about despite having access to system.

Really bonkers… isn’t the SUB a bonus 7 points per point earned and the same for the referral bonus?
If they are stacking, surely you would get, for each point earned, 7 + 7 bonus points?

Can the 8xMR points only be activated if applying from a business amex referral or through a particular sign up page or could I refer OH from my BA Prem Plus card and she apply for the Bus Plat and get the 8xMR offer?

No. You only get the bonus once for making a referral.
And you can refer for any card, not just a Business one.
Can someone confirm that the referral offer has now also ended from the Bus Plat? I’ve only just received my card and added it to my online account. I can see the message “You’ll receive 18,000 Membership Rewards® points for each approved friend.” so either the referral offer has expired, or it hasn’t appeared on my newly formed account yet.
