Anyone else ever got the message to be unable to participate in the AMEX refer a friend programme?
There have been a number of posts on this over the past few months.
Would be good if the HfP team covered this, as it appears to be a change in policy by Amex, and particularly as a number of articles on this site advocate a couple cross-referring (which it is thought, but has not been confirmed, may be a factor for Amex removing customers from the referral programme.)
Seconded.
Although it doesn’t look like AMEX is giving anyone a straight answer as to why they (individually) no longer have the option to refer, just some vague shrug-off, so I’m not sure what else HfP would be able to uncover.
It also doesn’t seem to be specifically linked to referrals, as – reading the other threads – there’s no real pattern to discern.
Still, as you say, would be nice for HfP to formally report on this issue in an article
