My statement balance is higher than my total balance.
I have paid the total balance but there is still a statement balance. What happens when it comes to the payment date?
Do I need to pay more?
No. It’ll be fine. Any refunds since the time your statement balance was issued are considered part of the paying down of the balance. Did you definitely have refunds? Or is that the part that is puzzling you?
I did have refunds. Thank you for the clarification.
On another note, the payment is pending on the card I used to pay, On my amex account is still says the payment is due but on the amex payments page it says the payment has been made. When does this sort itself out? Thank you

That’s not correct with Amex. If you receive a credit after the statement date, you still need to pay the full statement balance to avoid interest charges. Other cards operate differently.
