Plan B would be fab Bankside, which we know & love, just not quite the area I fancied for a pre-Xmas trip.
I used to go fairly regularly due to an annual awards gig that was always hosted there around that time of the year. I’m not sure how Christmas-y you want it to be, but from what I can remember it’s certainly not over the top. The area will be overrun with festive decorations though (and Winter Wonderland right opposite!) so like you said, the location is perfect.
I do seem to recall stunning xmas decorations at the Dorchester, nearby. Although I did see that they appear to be undergoing renovations at the lobby at the moment…

Last year, it was Sheraton Intern for us – THAT won’t be happening again!!It has a very well thought out interior design. You shouldn’t complain about it. Perfectly fit into their interior production of paintings from moss https://www.ekomoss.com/contact-us/ , I would not refuse either. And for all holidays, details are added to the interior.
