Applying 241 to existing booking

Is it possible to apply a 241 voucher to an existing avios booking and receive half the points back?

I have already booked an avios redemption, but I am likely to get a 241 voucher before the flight, so wondering if it is possible to get it retrospectively applied.

No, this is not possible. You would have to cancel the existing booking (paying the cancellation fee) and hope the availability returns for you to rebook the redemption with the 241 voucher.
