Back in February, I booked a refundable CDMX hotel through Avios Hotels back when the 20 Avios/£1 offer was running. I’ve just checked and the same hotel is significantly cheaper but with only 10 Avios/£1 to be earned. If I cancelled and rebooked, I’d be better off by £500 but worse off by about 23,000 Avios. I’m guessing the cash saving is the better option but I thought I’d ask for the opinions of others. Thanks
230,000 Avios is worth approx £230. You could just buy the Avios in the next sale/boost/whatever and still be a couple of hundred in profit.

You’ve got a stray zero in there davefl…
23,000 Avios could be considered to be worth about £230.
Still, the maths is simple for you SuffolGirl. £500 > £230, so cancelling and rebooking should be a net gain of £270 to you.
Thanks all. Hotel now cancelled and rebooked.

Lol sorry, I’m blaming my bad eyesight.
