My wife works for the NHS and was very grateful to receive 60k Avios back in the Jan/Feb Avios Thank You Appeal. However, on Tuesday a second 60k points arrived into her BAEC Avios account labelled as Avios Thank You Appeal.
Does anybody know if this is an error, and likely to be retracted, or has there been a second wave of “thank yous”?
I also found a second lot of 60000 avios in my account the other day. No idea why it’s there, but not going to question it too much!

Yep I got it too , pretty sure I read somewhere that if the points in the pot were not claimed (ie you didn’t complete the form in time ) then they will be distributed to the winners – might be wrong but , let’s hope BA don’t take them out of our accounts

Yes the 60k was the initial allocation and any not claimed would be reallocated to those that claimed.
If you got another 60k that indicates that half the people didn’t claim them!
Doubly gutted I wasn’t successful in the initial ballot now!
I’m also very surprised 50% of people didn’t claim such a substantial reward that they had to apply for in the first place. I don’t recall it being a complicated claims process? Makes me suspicious there was an issue with the notification e-mails (yes I did check my junk mail religiously for a couple of weeks!)

I do wonder whether is is a mistake and they disappear as quick as they arrive!
I checked yesterday after reading this thread, and also received a second bonus, but 60,000 avios has just been debited so I guess it was a mistake 😕
Mine has also been removed today
