Avios to cancel and reboot or amend?

Hi I have LHR to Mexico city booked on 241.

I want to change to Madrid to Mexico city outbound, but keep the original Mexico city to LHR flight date and time.

Which has the lower admin fees ….cancel and rebook afresh or just ask to amend the outbound?

Not sure you can amend. Most certainly only option is to cancel (whole trip) and then rebook.

The 241 immediately appears again in your account but not the Avios and you have no guarantee the seats will return for you to grab the return flight.
