Quick question – is this applicable to any card from 1 November regardless of when it was signed up? e.g. signed up a new card on 1 October so the 15K spend is not applicable but the 10K instead?
If that’s the case then I should be signing up before 1 November but if it isn’t then I should look for an offer

As I understand it if you got the card on 1 October you would need to spend 10k in that month to get the voucher. I would guess for most people if they could manage this level of spend in one month that the 15k for a year wouldn’t phase them to begin with.
If you sign up now you have until the 31st October to hit the £10k spend to get the voucher.
As soon as 1st November comes around the target will shift, on all cards (no matter when opened our how much previously spent), to £15k spend.
So if, for example, you only spend £9k spend by 31st October, you’ll have 2 options. Either:
1) spend the final £1k that day or
2) don’t and as soon as 1st November arrives have the changed target of spending £6k (so total £15k) to hit the target for the voucher by your card year end.Peter is correct.

So in summary, unless you can actually hit 10K spend in a month (and for that, you can probably add another 5K for the remaining months) there’s really no incentive to sign up now… I’ll wait for a sign up bonus to come.
@mba1413 depending on where / when you are thinking of using your voucher (and ability to spend 15k quickly), put some thought into when you want your card anniversary to be. More by luck than judgement my card anniversary is September, which has worked perfectly for me, as I can readily stack two vouchers for four people to travel over the Easter or summer holidays.
After September, January is obviously the best month to apply, in case you prefer travelling in Dec.
There was some talk that school holidays in summer needs to be reduced and more days added to half terms and December. Can someone bring that petition back please?
I would think that this is the least of the government’s priorities just now …
