Anyone else getting this error message on BA website when trying to book reward flights

There was a problem with your request, please try again later.BA availability checker shows availability for date/no travellers but when I try to book i just get the above.
I’ve booked reward tickets for 5+ years and never been presented with this crap
What device are you using? I’m finding using a mobile phone browser is far more reliable these days than BA’s desktop site.
The IT is shocking atm, I can’t get into any of my bookings except via MMB.
I was actually using the BA app on my phone when the error message came up, then tried it on my laptop on IE, cleared cookies etc. but it just persists.
Just FYI, it’s the first time I’m making a reward booking on points only (no 241 voucher).

Not sure if that’s a factor, but wouldn’t thought so.The app is the worst! Mobile browser on your phone, works reliably for me, give it a go would be great to hear back if it works.
App was reliable for me but now not allowing access to bookings across several devices.
Still get the same error unfortunately when using web browser on phone. I also deleted the app prior.
However, something very odd:
So I select all our family (2 adults, 1 child and infant) for a Avios reward booking next year (dates previously checked on BA availability checker). I get same error message.
But when I go back and just put one person in on the booking, it takes me to the following page showing all the flights etc. with plenty of seat availability showing. For example, 8 seats on just one particular flight out that day.
Am I missing something – as I’ve said I’ve always previously booked with a voucher, does not having one limited availability options?

I’ve also had similar issues recently and don’t know how to fix. It also seems to be limited to certain routes; when I search for Dubai next year, get the errors, although sometimes works when only searching for 1 or 2 people (am a family of 3), but was able to search and book Paris fine. This is using mobile browser on Samsung.
Could it maybe be the infant included on the booking that is causing it to error ?

I thought it was just me, so glad it’s not. I get this error when booking for 2 adults and 2 children. Changing to 1 person is fine everytime and ever destination. If I change the date it sometimes works but it’s very hit and miss. Different destinations are affected but not all. Waiting a few days and re searching doesn’t fix it. Different browsers on the same device doesn’t fix it. I get the same issue on multiple devices. Only seems to have started since I earned the Amex voucher and I think it’s to do with the extra availability but not having 2 vouchers for the 4 of us.
I tried it again this morning – removing the infant has no effect unfortunately.
It does work when I remove both infant and eldest child and just have 2 adults on the booking – maybe it’s trying to tell me something lol.I also don’t think it would be due to not having enough vouchers as you would get an error message specific to that – this happened to me last year.
The error I got:
‘You won’t see enhanced availability for this flight until you use one BA American Express Premium Plus Companion Voucher for every two travellers in the booking’.If you’re using a 241 and there is “extra availability” inventory in CW, you can only have 2 people on the booking, even if there are still standard avios seats available as well.
I had the same problem on Sunday. Tried again first thing yesterday and it worked but I couldn’t book as date was not agreed. Date agreed 4 hours later and I couldn’t get in for the rest of the day. Can’t get in this morning.

Interesting you mention Dubai as that’s the destination I’m looking at when getting this error. I haven’t tried other destinations
I had this problem a while ago when I was trying to look at Dubai availability. I assumed it was because I had one old companion voucher and one new one.
Seems like Abu Dhabi is another one affected by this glitch.
Just tried some dates following the relaunched route next April where there’s tonnes of availability. But same error. Again, only works with adults selected
Have you tried a dummy booking with one adult and one child? It would be interesting to know if it’s the children causing the issue or just trying to book for more than 2 people.
I did yes. Doesn’t work for that either.
So I’ve tried 1 x adult and 1 x child and 1 x child + 1 x infant, I’m presented with same error.
Only lets me proceed with 2 x adults.
Lhr to auh outbound 21/04, with return on 28/04I am not using any 241 voucher this time, just the points.
But there is plenty of seat availability on those dates (looking at WT)It’s a week that I have been unable to book an award flight. Same error message. Has anyone else been able to book reward flights?
