I fly a lot from Gatwick on BA Euroflyer.
Since the creation of Euroflyer I don’t think I have had an empty seat beside me (I am Gold). I’ve been on maybe 20 flights in euro traveller and they’ve had varying levels of occupancy. But it looks like the seat block is just never being used.
In addition, checkin never seem to know my baggage allowance. The last time the guy questioned me a lot and said it looked like I’d just purchased 1 bag. I have never purchased a bag as an add on (only when in original fare) and that was an avios booking.
Any other quirks of Euroflyer?
You can check if the first problem really is a problem with an unlogged in dummy booking for a mythical friend after selecting your seat. Trouble is, as an unpublished benefit, there’s nothing to complain about if it isn’t working.
Good idea! I feel like I already knew really from that many flights, but have checked with a dummy booking and it looks like the seat block just isn’t working on Euroflyer. I hope they fix!
On my flight yesterday the blocked seat (I was 1C) seemed to have only been allocated at check-in to suit a group travelling together, the rest filled row 2. Only four rows of CE, there were empty seats in row 4.
Didn’t bother me that much, they were pleasant enough, though I’d rather have had the extra space to sprawl with almost 5 hours onboard on an already long delayed flight.
