Received the generic email about needing to change passwords for security etc.
Anyone having issues resetting passwords ?
Whatever you do don’t follow any links in an email and only do it directly via the website / app
Got the same email this morning. Only recently had to change my password for BA because their crappy app seemingly objects to certain ‘special characters’ in passwords that the website login is perfectly happy with, so a bit aggravating to have to do it again so soon.
Same.
Stuck in a loop of locked, reset, unlocked, repeat.
Security codes via SMS never turn up, but email ones do.
Their IT is beyond a joke isn’t it.
I kept getting an error message when trying to log in to the app the other day, but it was resolved by deleting and reinstalling it.
Maybe it’s part of the “Modernisation of the IT estate” that IAG talk about in one of todays main articles?
Same here. Can’t log in on the web site – keep getting:
“We have locked your account temporarily to keep it safe and secure. For more information please refer to the email or letter you received”
(Needless to say, no email received).
Problem persists even after resetting password etc.
Frustrating as I have imminent flights I need to change. MMB says flights can’t be changed online (should be possible, so I guess it’s all part of the same screw-up, grrrrr).
Same here – although I did at least receive an email from BA about it (albeit in Spanish for no discernible reason, as everything else I get from BA is in English…)

@Jon – I always used to get the message that I couldn’t change my flights in MMB, then one day recently saw a post from another reader saying try doing it on a phone (not the app, though, on the website). I did this and lo and behold could make changes! Just obviously very fiddly on a small screen. Apparently BA IT for phones is more advanced than for laptops etc!
Thanks @NorthernLass, that does indeed appear to work – except for the one thing I need to do, which is change time/date… 😉
Been getting this for a few days too. Managed to reset my password once (and that was an ordeal) but now, the following day I can’t log in. Luckily I’m not going anywhere for a few weeks, but is that enough time for BA to fix it …?
Anyone managed to gain access yet? I’ve just called them and they’ve referred me to another team who might need a copy of my passport. WHAT!?
