Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club BA On Business redemptions – flexibility?

  • 305 posts

Due to expiring BA On Business points, I have made a speculative booking which I may need to change.
Looking at BA On Business, T&Cs it seems the only possible change is flight and date change, does not say anything about destination.
Has anyone managed to change dates / destination without any issues with expiring points?

According to CS, the only possibility is to amend the date.
Destination even in same price (points) band cannot be changed.

Yes, that’s the same as with any other loyalty programme in the world or indeed fully flexible cash ticket. You have to cancel the booking if you want to change the destination.

Assume the date change does not incur any rebooking fees when on business points were used for original flight booking.

It seems Manage My Booking from within BA On Business portal allowa the date / flight change without fees.
Is there any limits on how many times, I can make such changes?
Couldn’t spot any T&Cs on this.

It’s always better to cancel and rebook. You can’t cancel online so you have to ring them up, which means you get everything back (points and taxes ) as they can’t charge a service fee. That’s what I do. Then I book again from the website.

Asking them to change date and time will incur a fee.

You don’t get points back if they expired!

No limit. Have done it three times once.
