Hi, Just made silver this year and keep reading that I can obtain a physical card and luggage tags from the exec club website. I know these are not send out automatically any more but understand you can order them. I can’t find the link to these anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
Physical cards & luggage tags are for Gold only now.

Only Gold and GGL get physical cards and bag tags nowadays.
Do I get a physical card if I type all in caps?
As a recently minted first-tine Gold (thank you, covid), I am surprised by this, as I don’t have a physical card or luggage tags.
Am I missing out on Something Important? How would they help me given that my status is on my boarding card, and my luggage is already tagged with a rather ineffectual Priority label?
Or do the physical accoutrements just tap into the same consumer psychology as Amex’s 1980s ‘membership has its privileges’ campaign?

You have to request them, they’re not sent automatically. I think it’s under “executive club items” or something like that in your account.
The arguably only benefit is that if cabin bags are being taken away during boarding, it’s unlikely you’d be ask for yours if it has a Gold tag.
I wonder if BA comes to your house to demand and remove any tags/cards once you lose status. Maybe they cut them in two in front of you and your family/friends.

How odd. 🙂My last DKYKWIA rant on this as my last Silver tag was ripped from my hold luggage on arrival in Lisbon on 10 July. 😞 So no more ability of my luggage to stand out on the carousel. I shall just have to put any old tag on my luggage in future – maybe I shall put one on that says “This tag self identifies as Gold”
Wasn’t there someone online who would make fake ones for you?
