Have received an email saying my Silver card status is bring renewed, I have only high 300 tier points snd only got a lot of those recently. I was totally prepared to going to Bronze! Any idea why/ is the email incorrect? Have been Silver/ gold for a while….
Thanks
I think you answered your own question.
What does BA gain by stripping you of status after so many years and risking that your travel will pick up again this year and you may take that business to another airline?
And if you’re not flying much permanently now, it costs them nothing anyway as you’re not using the benefits.
I was hoping this would be the case; however in my (maybe limited) experience they have mostly been a ‘computer says no’ type organisation and I would have thought there was little discretion here. Very happy to be corrected and change my opinion a bit though.
I wonder how often it happens.
Thanks
