BA has failed to award me tier points on Finnair business class flights from BKK to LHR via Helsinki, despite awarding points to me on the LHR to BKK flights and awarding tier points to my wife on the same flights. Despite multiple approaches to them by phone and email they have failed to rectify the error. As I have over 32,000 tier points I am within reach of a gold card for life (35,000 points) and I am wondering if BA may be trying to prevent me from reaching this milestone. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
If you have a look on the BA board there are several threads on this issue which will provide you with lots of help and advice on claiming these points.
But it is not always in the hands of BA.
Finnair have to “give” the avios and TPs to BA so there maybe something in your ticket which is preventing that from happening,
I am certain BA aren’t trying to deny you the TPs to delay your becoming gold for life.
I do love the idea that BA is somehow devoting IT resource to identifying those close to lifetime gold or some other benefit and diverting TPs or whatever. We seem to have a lot of conspiracy theorists here on a range of topics when almost all can be attributed to incompetence rather than malice.
