My father and I were both on the cusp of Silver and had travel booked which would achieve it before the Exec Club changes were announced. Dad has now tipped significantly over the 600 tier point threshold for Silver and well over the 48 hours have elapsed for his status to have upgraded….yet he remains firmly on Bronze. Has anyone else had this problem? He’s within the (new) Tier points year and the website clearly states ‘That’s why we’re making changes to the way you earn Tier Points and move between tiers FROM 1 April 2025’. Are BA now adding insult to injury and going to withhold status we’ve legitimately earned that should be valid until March 2026??
Sometimes it seems irritatingly slow to change status. Wait a few more days and it will magically appear.
What did BA say when you contacted them?
Whilst the TPs may have ticked over the threshold a couple of days after the flight it takes another couple of days after that for status to update. And you may even need to log out and log in again for it to fully refresh.
This is nothing to do with the changes but how the system works and it has worked this way for years.
So no they aren’t withholding status.
Patience is a virtue her wonders to behold.
It took a little while, maybe 10 to 12 days, for my status to tick over to Silver on the website when I returned from SYD towards the end of November. BUT, it stayed resolutely Bronze on the app until I logged out and logged back in again. Have you tried that?
Thanks all. It’s been a couple of weeks but will stay patient! Dad is still down under so I’ll try this for him when he gets back.
