BA Holidays double tier point run

Q: can I book a trip with BAH to get double tier points, to include a car OR hotel, but not actually use the car or hotel?
e.g. LHR-BUD-LHR + car for 5 days; BUT simply go to the Avis desk, sign the paperwork and collect the car, then hand the keys back and continue with my journey?

Easier not to collect the car, I think. You’re stuffed either way since if BAH realise you didn’t keep it for 5 days you lose the double TP.

You’ve chosen one of the two (the other being SOF) destinations where BA Hols will almost certainly double check (or Avis will tell them) if you’ve ‘used’ the car / or hotel for the double TP scheme.

And ‘using’ is more than signing for the car then handing the keys back. It means taking it away, parking it and returning it as scheduled in the booking.

People doing what you want to is why the T&Cs were tightened up.
