Barclaycard Avios Plus and Barclays Avios Rewards Upgrade Voucher

I have a Barclaycard Avios Plus which gives you a BA upgrade voucher every 12 months. As Barclays Premier customer I can also sign up to the Barclays Avios Rewards which also gives you a BA upgrade voucher every 12 months.

It doesn’t state anywhere that you can’t earn TWO upgrade vouchers if you have the Barclaycard Avios and signed up to Barclays Avios Rewards. So I called Barclays and they said you can only earn 1 upgrade voucher with both. The lady I talked to wasn’t very sure so she had to check with someone before telling me you can only get 1 upgrade voucher every 12 months.

Has anyone else looked into this and can confirm if you can get 2 vouchers?

I have actually earned 3 vouchers in 1 year. 1 for holding avios rewards for 12 months, one for hitting £10k on the plus card, and then having downgraded that, another voucher for spending £20k on the free card.

Yes, absolutely no issue in getting both of them.

@QNNHFP I thought I had a sense of déjà vu. You asked this same question at 7.30ish yesterday morning albeit in a different thread and received several answers to the same effect. As a newbie, it passes, but asking once is enough.

Thanks @aq.1988 and @MF176. So Barclays gave me the wrong info. Will sign up to Avios Rewards and fingers crossed.

@JDB – yes, am total newbie indeed. I did post the same question elsewhere but did that in my phone and after submitting the post I couldn’t find it anywhere, so thought it didn’t get posted. I haven’t checked the answers there yet, need to find the thread first 🙂 – not too easy using mobile only. But thanks for pointing out!
