Barclays 100k – anyone received it, been told on way?

Hello avios hive mind,

I’ve “qualified” for the bonus 100k having held the accounts for 4 months.

I know it gets paid in 6 month but do we get an email like they sent at the beginning that I am on my way to getting the 100k.

Has anyone actually received it yet? I suspect payouts will have just started or start soon?

Barclays told me it would be paid within two months of the date on stated in the origination 100k confirmation email and haven’t heard anything since. I’m also still waiting on the 25k for switching accounts so it would be great to hear if anyone else has received that.

I believe what they’ll do is pay everyone the 100K at the same time. They say within 2 months, and the offer ran for a bit less than 2 months. So they’ll wait until everyone who will qualify has qualified (e.g person who signed up on the last day of the offer and held for 4 months) and then pay out everything at the same time as it’s easier for this to be a one off process rather than build functionality to do it on an ongoing basis.

Then they will have 1,000 people calling in asking when my 100k will be arriving, the 2 months are up etc.

Why? If they wait until the last person qualifies (after 4 months of holding) and then pay everyone who qualified 100k avios shortly after that, the first person to qualify will still have got their 100k avios within 2 months of their 4 months of holding.
