Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Basinet seat availability

  • 124 posts

I fly this Friday in Premium and currently all seats with a basinet are unavailable for selection. Does anyone know when these become selectable?

Note – I am not travelling with an infant but would appreciate the legroom if possible.

Earliest I have got them previously is check in at the airport (not online)

Hi, is there anyway to see which bassinet seats are actually taken for the opposite reason of wanting to use one for a baby?

August has quite a bit of availability for reward seats, but wouldn’t want to book one to find out there’s no bassinet seats left if a flight a few hours later had lots.

    Thanks

I think if you do a dummy cash booking, it shows you the seat map before you go to the payment page?

Thank you – I believe they block out all the bassinet rows though unfortunately, so can’t see if they’re taken or free and just blocked.

Guessing it may be a phoning them type of enquiry.

    Have a good weekend all.

I highly doubt they would be available until check-in at the airport (unless you are flying with an infant)

With BA, if they’re not allocated to an infant (or another traveller) they are available to select at OLCI at T-24. I don’t know if it’s the same with VS.

I rang and they were able to give me the information easy enough for my potential flights/dates.

Priority goes to those who require the seats due to their disability, babies are then second on the list (which is our party).
