    So yesterday I received an email from BA.

    The subject is thanks for getting in touch.

    In the actual email it says they apologise for the time it has taken to get back to me and they understand why I was getting in touch.

    It then goes on to say they have added 5000 Avios to my account.

    I have absolutely no idea what they have taken their time in getting back to me about and the email doesn’t address anything either whilst the 5000 Avios have not appeared in my account.

    I did contact them by phone about four weeks ago as a booking I had changed in MMB did not have a ticket number on it. This was sent for re-ticketing and was done within a week. Other than that I have hot had communication with them and it was resolved fairly promptly.

    All a bit strange but I wish they had posted the Avios

    Perhaps the agent when you called out through some kind of complaint for the lack of ticketing.

    I was recently gifted some apology emails from BA (for a complaint I did make) and while the email said ‘We’ve added Avios to your Executive Club account’, it actually took a couple of days for them to be credited. I’d check back in a few days.
