Booking Avis on Expedia vs. Avis website or BA Holidays

Avis is offering the same car for the same price in 3 different places:

– Avis website prepaid (no cancelation)
– BA car rental (prepaid no cancellation) – you get extra Avios
– Expedia (prepaid cancel up to 6hrs before pickup)

I have always used Expedia given I consider being able to cancel all the way to the last minute much better value than 100 Avios (plus prices have halved in the last days so being able to simply cancel and rebook just saved me £100!)

Is there a way to book on Expedia and still get Avis preferred points, Avios?

Checked Avis.com again … not clear but you can cancel up to 48 hrs before collection (up to the last minute if you pay on collection – slightly more expensive-).

With BA you CANNOT cancel without paying a penalty so other than the Avios I do not see the advantage.

With Expedia you can cancel all the way to 6hrs before but uncertain if you can get Avis preferred points and Avios.
