Can you book the return online and call to add it to your outbound (booked using 50% of voucher) [possible with 241] vs calling to book AND add it to our outbound?
Was there ever an answer for this? So essentially book the return full price online then call for an avios refund of the difference? Returning from some locations as a one-way saves a significant sum on surcharges
We have a voucher each on separate accounts but in a household account. Is there any way of the call centre using both of these on one booking for 2 pax?
You could call and make the bookings at the same time. Maybe nominate each other to deal with the others account.
Yes but ideally we’d be on the same booking to use my status to choose seats
The voucher holder has to make the booking, so two vouchers in separate accounts requires two separate bookings.
I don’t know the answer but an authorised HHA member can book with another member’s voucher so that’s not an object.
Not come across an authorized HHA member. If you mean a third party nominee to your BAEC account, that would be making a booking on their behalf via their account using their voucher, which is not the same as making a booking from your account using their voucher (along with one of your own).
Of course that’s what I mean 🙄. You said “The voucher holder has to make the booking.” They don’t, because a nominee can call BA and make a booking with their voucher.
@HampshireHog – I suspect a co-operative agent might be able to do this, after all they do all sorts of other things manually with the voucher. Let us know what they say!
I’ve a vague memory of someone even posting about it in one of the long dedicated threads but I wouldn’t know how to retrieve the post.
Thanks all I’ll mull over whether to ring in and try my luck, just not sure I want to lose the flights faffing about!

Any answer to this one? Looking to book the outbound using the voucher now, and then book the inbound when it becomes available in a few weeks time. Are you able to call up afterwards and get the return flight linked to the outbound booking, with the corresponding Avios benefit of using the upgrade voucher returned to your account?
@bobthebuilder Yes you can do this.
Thanks @Gary. Just to confirm, have you done this recently, or had experience of someone doing this?
@bobthebuilder Did it few months back, also noted some recent posts
