Forums Other Airport lounges Booking via PP: ‘Sorry, our lounge is full on your chosen date and time’

  • 8 posts

Trying to book the 1903 lounge in August. Just signed up with Amex so have access via Priority Pass, getting a message of

Sorry, our lounge is full on your chosen date and time.

However, if I try to book directly through Manchester Airport or another 3rd party I get no issue and invited to pay full price.

    What gives?!

Have you never noticed those signs outside the entrances to the MAN lounges basically telling PP card holders to get stuffed? They are deadly serious!

My only consolation is that I have had the ready-made excuse each time I have cancelled a gold or platinum Amex over the years that lounge access at MAN is pretty much an impossibility.

I’ve hardly flown from Manchester, I normally go to Heathrow.

So this Priority Pass thing is basically a con?!

Possibly not at MAN, but at STN even when it does this (and it does…) you can show up and go on a waitlist. My wait has always been very short. I might just be lucky of course…

I think it does say on their site that sometimes they only open up pre-bookibng 3 months in advance for demand blah blah.

I’ll give it a go closer to the time otherwise I’ll rock up.

Was totally pointless signing up 3 months before my actual flight! Oh well.

I find it a pretty poor offering in the UK, but really good in other parts of the world especially Asia. I haven’t been to the US in a long time but I believe it’s poor there too.

How many people are you booking for? In the past I’ve found a lounge was ‘sold out’ for a pre-booking of 4 people, but happily let me book for 2 people on 2 separate bookings.
