Buying a package in the BA sale using Amex Platinum card

Apologies for a very newbie question, but am I best to book a BA sale package directly and use the Amex to pay? Or should I book using the Amex travel website?

Book direct (unless you have an Amex offer specifically for Amex Travel that is really worthwhile).
