Hello,
Just after a bit of clarity, I’m looking to change our flights, we are booked on a flight to Lax ,using two different 241 vouchers which have generated two booking references. One is in my name the other in my daughters name.
Our final destination is San Francisco but on booking there were no flights available.Over the weekend 6 of these flights are now showing on the BA site, I’ve contacted BA Club with a view to changing out flights but each time the agent enters 2 flights into a booking ,the remaining flights disappear, the agent said in 22 yrs they have never seen this happen. It has since been reported to their IT department.
We have since been told that if all 4 passengers were under a single booking reference then the system would allow the transaction to go through but because we are essentially doing two transactions, the system takes two of the seats and then automatically reverts the remaining seats for commercial use.
Is there a way to combine our bookings under one booking reference?
Thanks in advance.

Once you have two PNRs you can logically link them in the background, but never merge them in to one.
If the Amex vouchers were in one place then in theory you could take a risk and cancel what you have and start again, but by implication they are in different names so that can’t work either.
Can’t see any other options I’m afraid if the system doesn’t want to play ball.
@dssp007 – unfortunately it is quite normal when you take some of the seats ostensibly available that the others can disappear, although they will generally reappear within a few days. We usually need to have separate bookings for different family members so have encountered the issue several times.
As above, while bookings can be split, they can never be combined and that’s not BA being difficult.
