Can you earn Avios For BA flights in a Virgin Atlantic booking?

Any idea if I can claim Avios for the DUB-LHR rtn in J as a part of DUB-LHR-SFO booking in UC? Obviously my VS card number is already in the booking and I do want to keep the the miles and points for the LHR-SFO legs with VS.
I think the usual rule is that you can not double dip but just wondered what would happen if I handed over my GC at checkin in Dublin?

Yes. Get the BA PNR and add you BAEC number to it.
