Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Can’t use my Avios on BAEC

    Hi,

Have anyone had this problem before? When i go to “Book flights with Avios”

It doesn’t matter what date or route i put, i always get this message back:

“There was a problem with your request, please try again later.”

For that reason i’m not able to spend any Avios, tried transfer to my IB account but can’t because it’s not 90 days old yet. Tried to call BA and they have no clue, they told me to send an email to callba.loyalty@ba.com and got no answer whatsoever.

    Any ideas?

Are you able to book over the phone and ask them to waive the £25pp service fee?

Also, have you tried making the booking through Qatar’s site?

I’d also be trying clearing cookies, using a different browser or the app or a different device.

Sometimes BA seems to get stuck and you need to unstick it.

I tried calling yes, the flight is an Iberia route (Mvd to Madrid), when they search on the phone they say the have no availability. But i do see availability when i search on the Iberia website with my account.

Would Qatar’s site work for an IB flight? What’s that website?

    Get the Qatar App.
    Use live chat
Ask to be transferred to the privilege club team (they seem to respond very quickly and are surprisingly knowledgeable for a web chat team)
Ask them for a price for your intended route.

Probably best to set yourself up with a QPC account before all that.

Guys, i tried moving my avios from BAEC to IB and did successfully.

My IB acc was only 30 days old with 0 Avios so i’m not sure why i was able, i’ve read that not only the Acc needed to be 90 days but you needed to have at least one Avios on the IB acc.

    Thanks anyway.
