Thinking of popping over to Caen from SOU.
Anybody familiar with these people ? Seems they’ve been going years in France, Domestic.I checked out fares after seeing the first one come in to SOU the other week (last Friday or one before?). £550 or so for 2 adults and 2 kids (across a variety of Friday – Sunday weekends) but it looked like it would be on an interesting aircraft. Prices seemed the same across most options.
I figured an overnight Friday ferry from Portsmouth (with car) would probably make more sense from our perspective and I also understand Caen airport is a fair few km to town, ie taxi or something required.
It did finally operate on the ATR today- has been running on a 19 seater Beech 1900D which would be interesting!! But I’m not sure it’ll last that long, the ferry runs from Portsmouth 3 times a day and I’d rather have my car in that part of France. But it’d be a fun little trip
