Just rebooked a February BA Holiday to Berlin – saved over £100 in the sale
But noticed two changes
BWC now states
Up to 28 days before travel, you can change your booking without paying our usual fees (shown below) or you can cancel in exchange for a voucher (for travel before 30 Sep 2023).
It used to be 21 days.
Also Balance due date has reverted to 7 weeks before not 3 weeks as current.
Previously I have been quite a regular customer of BA holidays, however is anyone else finding more and more they regret booking with them?
The hassle of needing to call to make the simplest of changes, the lack of upgrade offers and more often now finding that I can get better deals elsewhere means the additional Avios are rarely worth it. The protection of a package holiday is great along with only committing a deposit but with booking with confidence still available meaning I’m flexible till the last moment rather than locked in weeks before? Is there something I’m missing?
The option of paying a deposit only is still attractive I suppose, and there ‘can’ be good savings. I just find the whole thing unwieldy and you can never tell from any of the post-booking details whether, for instance, the original hotel booking was changeable. Good value too if you can make the double TPs work.
