Change to Amex payment system – only store one debit card?

I just went on to pay my AMEX bill. It seems that I can only store one card on the AMEX payment system at a time now. Very irritating as I used to just pay the bill using up to 5 or 6 cards one after the other. has anyone else tried to do this? Also I wasn’t able to phone the customer service line – kept saying the number is invalid. Very strange.

I have always only been able to save one payment card for AMEX

** Amending my post. I think putting ‘saved card’ is a bit misleading. Sorry.
In the past I could easily pay from different cards. Now each time I want to pay from a different card I have to delete the saved card, load up the new card and make the payment. Only other option is bank transfers apparently.

They did say they were discontinuing cash payments and dropping the Giro paying in slip on statements so maybe there are some other impacts to payments
