Hello collective wisdom, needing knowledge before spending presumably hours on phone. Currently have 241 club returns to JNB for end of the month, departing 1820, but looking there are club rewards seats available on the 2110 which would work better. Can I call up to change to the later flight without having to cancel and rebook the whole booking (return has no availability showing), and IF yes, would it reprice to the new higher Avios less cash, stay on the old default (125000+~£1500)? Other option may be hope seats stay available and call on day of departure when I seem to recall can change departure time for free? Thanks
You can call and and keep your inbound seats but it’ll reprice to whatever todays price is + £35pp change fee
There isn’t any free same day change on avios or longhaul flying
No same day change.
It’s only available for short haul, point to point, flight only, cash fares with an economy plus or CE ticket.
I’m presuming now that there will be no ‘fare difference’ as the original option of 125k+£1500 is still an option in the drop down after the headline 180k+£900. so just the £70 change fee.
Maybe – but it potentially all changes with a 241 voucher, depending on whether it was an older one or the newer type. One of them, can’t remember which, doesn’t give you the other pricing options. They should be able to tell you prior to you finalising any change.
