Changes to earning of BA points and avios in oct

Sorry prob answered many times but want to check before spanking a load of cash on BA website.

So I wish to book a multi centre around SEA using QR / CX and BA all in economy for travel Jan 2024

If I book for example tomorrow but travel in Jan 24 will I get avios / tier points like I would if travelling next week or will it be based on the new earning methods ?

Also as a gold member I believe I get free seat assignment on OW carriers , If booking all 3 carriers on BA website on BA tickets and also flight numbers , will I still be able to get free seat assignment on QR and CX

Yes, tickets purchased now will earn avios at the current rates. And yes, you should be able to select seats. You’ll need to manage your booking on those carriers’ websites.

Did take me a second to work out why/how you were flying C and QR around Seattle….
