Does anyone know how to change FF number to Royal Jordanian to get the free seat selection benefit?
I tried using the hack of Royal Air Maroc and there’s no longer an option to change my FF number..

Managed to do it on Saturday using slidey’s suggestion – used the Chat/Message on the BA site in the help section and only took 5 mins each chat – it took 2 chats though – make sure they remove the existing BA number from the booking or it seems to override the RJ one (BA site said I could select free seats but showed an error message once I I tried to confirm the selected seats – the 2nd chat person seemed to know what to do and removed the BA number)
Thanks all for this, you are right – had to chat to BA and they had to do 2 steps, 1)remove BA flyer and 2) Add RJ or it won’t work.
I did this yesterday, Fiji Airways website has worked in the past but yesterday it was throwing up an error, what seemed to happen was i ended up with no frequent flyer number so when I went on the BA website I just added my Royal Jordanian number.

Fiji Airways just worked for me. Got an error message but logged into BA afterwards and it had actually worked. Thanks for tip!
Just as a FYI make sure the BA club member number is taken off as I tried to book seats 7 days out today but kept coming up with error tried to call up but the agent tried to argue that 7 days time didn’t mean that (my flight is next Tuesday at 1220 so should be able to book but he said it meant from tomorrow which is six days!). So went on Fiji website removed BA number and added Jordanian only now works. Good job as we’re in old CW so we got the last two window/aisle combo.
How are people removing their number on the Fiji site? It won’t let me remove it and not enter another so I’ve updated it/put my RJ one in which it’s accepted and now my BA app manage my booking shows the RJ number, however when I login on my PC it shows the BA number and it’s not saying I’ll be able to choose seats 7 days prior, still saying 24hours. Luckily I have a few months to sort it so no mad rush.
Just as a data point on this, I removed my BA number using the BA online chat and then separately got my RJ number added (again via online chat). My RJ number is showing on both the online and mobile manage my booking but despite this it still says 24 hours for seat selection. I’m hoping that is just the IT and I can still do the selection 7 days out but if that doesn’t work then I think will be a case of contacting BA then to open it up. Fortunately I’m not too fussy about seat selection for my next booking so can use that as a test run.

No, after adding my RJ Gold Sparrow number it updated on my BA flight almost immediately and I was able to select seats in the BA app. My flight isn’t until next year.
On an iberia redemption it let’s you add a second FF number and I was able to choose an exit row in premium economy for free on my last day of Gold Sparrow (they wanted £85 for those seats before adding the RJ number)
Why can’t BA make it that simple?
