Changing Qatar redemption to another flight same day

I’m fairly certain the answer is definitely not but I’ll ask anyway.

I booked a Qatar redemption flight via BA from Doha to London. It’s around 8am and I’d have preferred later but not many reward seats were available.

There seem to be a good number of spare J seats on Qatar across the day to London. I’ve asked them but they’ve referred me to BA. Is there any way to get moved to another flight even if no rewards availability is showing? I know this is possible for cash tickets same day but this isn’t cash clearly.

Any way to contact BA via chat or something from abroad?

Not if there is no reward availability. You can’t even do that on BA metal if booked on avios.

BAs same day change only applies to short haul.

And even then avios flights are excluded.

Have you checked availability on the QR website? Assuming this is a one way ticket you could cancel the BA flight, transfer the Avios and rebook on QR??
