The second QR flight out of EDI today, business pax being diverted from the BA lounge – which is normally very pleasant – to the Plaza Premium lounge – which is not particularly pleasant at times – for some unknown reason. And the PP lounge is rammed presently.
I believe PP may now be the default lounge for Qatar there, which is poor.
Did you try to access BA lounge with BA status by any chance? I may have same issue in November and being forced to use PP will not please me!This was a relative, not me. I flew with QR on this flight in May and got access to the BA Lounge as I was in J and don’t have BA status.
It really is poor to send people to the PP lounge though. Pre-covid, when it was a No.1 lounge there was a room set aside that was believed to be getting set up for QR and EK. But all change thereafter.
There is a rumour that EK are not happy about the lounge situation at EDI but where would they build something for their customers as there appears to be no space for only one A350 a day.
However I flew with Etihad from Dublin in 2017 and their one flight a day was serviced from a great Etihad lounge so it can be done I suppose.Hello for IHG HI Bodmin. Last minute weekend trip to Cornwall. This was the easiest last minute cash availability (no points rooms available). Smart and clean with decent rooms. Its at the Cornwall service station so easy access.
Hoping the weather is not as awful as it is supposed to be!
