Good morning from the Radisson Baku. Has anyone flown Azerbaijan Airlines recently? Checked in online and it only gives an option to print or email the boarding pass. Do I need to get it printed or can I just collect it at the airport?

Having been downgraded to Silver Jay, Royal Jordanian have today invited me to elevate back to Golden Sparrow. For $350

Definitely not worth it for me personally but interested to learn whether that’s a good deal for others to get to One World Silver.

Early start from LHR T5 on Thursday, parking already booked, but tempted to stay overnight Wednesday. The premier inn on Bath Road says overnight parking subject to availability, then I’d move the car to the booked parking in the morning. What happens if the PI car park is full? I want to drive to the airport in the morning rather than wait for the hoopla bus or take a taxi.

PI is about £100 whereas the Sofitel is £250 for the room plus extending my parking will add another £60.

Why not park on the A4 anywhere west of Osterley tube station and take the Piccadilly line into Heathrow, staying wherever takes your fancy without worrying about parking.

Morning, Using Virgin Flying club points to book reward flights on other partners, Can it be done more than 330 days in advance when available On AF/Flying Blue or has it got be 330days like VS?

@Tracey I suspect the ‘subject to availability’ is just a generic cover all, but I have no specific knowledge of how busy the PI car park gets on a typical Thursday evening.

A little bit further away, the Heston Travelodges are both under £70 on Thursday with no parking limitations. Heston Westbound – T5 is probably easier than from the Bath Road Premier Inn.

Edit: or if you’re IHG aligned the HI Express T5 (in Slough) for £96 is 15 minutes from T5 without having to risk a clogged M25.

The Purple palace has a very big car park, I’ve never had an issue parking there, and have stayed there many times, beware it’s £15 for one night, last time I was there, have you looked at the Moxy just a couple of minutes drive down bath road, it’s quiet competitive on price, The car park is smaller at the Moxy though.

Why not just print it at the hotel. I flew with them a couple of years ago, checked a bag so they printed it at the airport.

Definitely not worth it for me personally but interested to learn whether that’s a good deal for others to get to One World Silver.

People have spend multiple long weekends in Sofia and have flown to Tallinn via Helsinki multiple times in the past for BA Silver, so for around £260 it’s a bit of a bargain, if not as cheap as the original match.

I’ll be taking advantage of it, because I need a connection to London from Madrid after a premium economy flight from Chile in early December. Was going to pay for club Europe so I could use the Madrid lounge, but this will save me around £100 worth of points and cash just buying an economy ticket.

Out of pure curiosity, does the website “Smart with Points” have a partnership with Head for Points? I have just received an email news letter from them with the following 4 headline articles….

    * Save Big: The Iberia Route to NYC
    * Virgin Atlantic launches their biggest ever points bonus – 70% extra when buying points until 12th October
    * Virgin credit card holders can now get both cards with welcome bonuses
    * The Wolseley now accepts GHA DISCOVERY Dollars for dining

This is almost a complete run of all the HfP articles from yesterday. Granted when new offers are released – like the 70% buy points offer – there will be overlap across numerous sites, but flying Iberia to NYC is not new for example. Its one things using other sites for ideas or inspiration but to have an exact copy and paste of the exact same articles seems a bit much, especially if there is no partnership/agreement…

    Just curious…

I think I will probably go for on the basis that it will be 2 years of status, albeit only Ruby for the second.
