I want to close my amex plat but i have an outstanding dispute and complaint with amex.
Can anyone advise if these will still be processed by amex or will they just shut both down when i close account.
I’ve been informed by a rep (UK based phone) within the last few days that disputes stay open even if a card account is cancelled. I can’t give you first hand experience, just communicate what the rep told me. YMMV.
When you are in the process of cancelling you could always ask the rep directly then you have an explicit answer direct from them to you in your specific situation.
Yes – disputes, cashback via offers etc will still be paid to a closed account. You can also Section 75 claim a closed account for something bought when it was active. No issues.
